I'm Sara.

I'm a crocheter. I also knit, embroider, weave, and sew but crochet is my main love. I have a master's degree in design and have worked at WeCrochet (crochet.com), Interweave Crochet, Wool Studio, Knitscene, and Krochet Kids International.

Let's make cool stuff together.

I'll only email you to let you know about new pattern releases, coupon codes, or when I need a tester. I promise I won't send you lots of useless emails.

  • COMMUNITY

Crochet has connected me to the most brilliant, powerful, creative, and caring women I know. In all the years I've been in this industry, I've see women supporting women in life and business, BIPOC makers educating on white supremacy and racism in the craft space, women advocating for size inclusivity, yarn lovers organizing against voter suppression, and a movement for making our favorite yarn sites accessible to everyone.

  • SLOW FASHION

I decided to study apparel in graduate school because I loved clothes but was appalled by the racist, inhumane, and underpaid working conditions for garment workers, the throwaway culture of fast fashion, and its effect on our environment. Ever time I make my own clothing, I have a new appreciation for the time, energy, and skill it takes and I can redirect my love of clothes toward something good while refocusing my perspective.

  • MENTAL HEALTH

Crochet calms me. It restores my breath, my confidence, my productivity, my creativity. It's the opportunity to combine math, logic, and strategy with creativity, experimentation, and joy. On stressful days, I still find myself reaching for yarn and stitching my way back to myself. I have no greater joy than creating a crochet pattern that instills confidence, productivity, and creativity in others, in you! Making things makes us feel better.
